October Unemployment Rate Released For Indiana

(INDIANPOLIS) - Indiana’s unemployment rate stands at 3.2 percent for October.

Indiana’s labor force had a net increase of 567 over the previous month. This was a result of a decrease of 1,397 unemployed residents and an increase of 1,964 employed residents.

Private sector employment decreased by 2,000 over the previous month. The monthly decrease is primarily due to losses in the Manufacturing (-4,000) and the Trade, Transportation and Utilities (-2,100) sectors. Losses were partially offset by gains in the Leisure and Hospitality (2,100) and the Professional and Business Services (1,500) sectors.
