(CENTREVILLE) – It's been a busy few days for the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff Mark Lillywhite says on February 13, deputies responded to a business on River Street in White Pigeon Township regarding a larceny from a motor vehicle. At 3:50 AM, a dark colored SUV is seen on security cameras entering the employee parking lot. The suspects in the SUV broke into an employee's truck that was parked in the lot and stole an after market JVC stereo. The SUV was seen leaving the parking lot at approximately 3:55 AM.
On Tuesday, deputies were called to the area of 2nd and Henry Streets in Burr Oak for a hit and run accident. It is reported that a southbound vehicle struck a street sign and a power pole before leaving the scene.
Also on Tuesday, deputies responded to the 22,000 block of Riverside Drive in Nottawa Township in reference to a breaking and entering. A handgun was reported stolen during the incident.
All three of these cases are still under investigation. If anyone has information on any of them, they are asked to call the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department at 269-467-9045.
