(LANSING) – The State of Michigan has seen 801 new cases of COVID-19 since Thursday afternoon, and two of them are in Branch County.
As of 3 PM Friday afternoon, the State says the total number of people around the State that have tested positive for coronavirus is 3,657. That includes two more inmates at the Lakeland Correctional Facility in Coldwater. In addition, there were 32 more deaths statewide, bringing the total to 92 deaths.
There are still no cases of COVID-19 in St. Joseph County. Calhoun County Health Department officials say there are now 9 residents with coronavirus. Kalamazoo County is reporting 11 people with coronavirus and 6 people in Hillsdale County.
There is just one case in Cass County, the same figure as Thursday.
Health officials continue to remind everyone to wash their hands frequently with soap and water; disinfect commonly touched surfaces and practice social distancing to help slow down the spread of COVID-19.
