Holcomb Says Coronavirus Will Get Worse

(INDIANAPOLIS) – Indiana officials believe the coronavirus is not going away any time soon.

With the announcement Friday morning of 338 additional COVID-19 cases in Indiana, the total now across the Hoosier State is 981. In addition, seven more Hoosiers have died, which brings the total number of deaths to 24.

Speaking Friday, Governor Eric Holcomb says it's going to get worse for Indiana before it gets better. LINKC.

Despite the trajectory, Holcomb says he remains optimistic.

At Friday’s news conference, Dr. Kristina Box of the Indiana Health Commission says the worst is yet to come. LINKD.

Holcomb and Box both declined again to say how many intensive care hospital beds and ventilators the state has to meet the pandemic.
