Two New Cases Of COVID-19 In St. Joseph County

(COLDWATER) – Two new cases of COVID-19 were discovered in St. Joseph County.

The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency announced Monday afternoon that with the two new cases, there are now three cases in St. Joseph County. In addition, there are 8 cases in Branch County, all at the Lakeland Correctional Facility in Coldwater, and 13 cases in Hillsdale County, which also has 1 death from the virus.

Cass County is reporting 4 cases of COVID-19, Calhoun County has 17 cases and Kalamazoo County has 24 cases with 1 death.

Statewide, there are now 6,498 cases of COVID-19 since Sunday, which is an increase of 1,012 new cases. There were also 52 more people who died from the virus, which bring the total statewide to 184.

The CHA is asking anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 to self isolate for 14 days to avoid potentially exposing others. If you have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, you are asked to self quarantine for 14 days and monitor yourself for fever, cough and shortness of breath.

COVID-19 symptoms may appear in as few as two days or as long as 14 days after exposure to the virus.
