Elkhart County Sheriff's Department Closes Lobby To Public

(ELKHART) – The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department is joining other departments in taking steps to protect their staff and the community from COVID-19.

Sheriff Jeff Siegel says as of March 30, his department has closed their Administration lobby to the public until further notice, meaning the general public will not be allowed inside.

In person services for Records will be handled by appointment only. You can call 574-891-2300, Option 2 and then Option 1. The Sheriff's Department staff will be able to assist you in determining if an appointment is needed or if the request can be processed by fax or e-mail.

Siegel says several services are available on the Sheriff's Department website, including criminal history; gun permit information, reporting a crime, crash reports and tax warrants. The website is. LINKA.
