NE Indiana Has 52 New Cases Of COVID-19

(INDIANAPOLIS) - There are 52 new cases of COVID-19 and 2 more deaths in Northeast Indiana from Monday to Tuesday.

According to the Indiana State Department of Health, LaGrange County has no new cases of the coronavirus. They have 60 people who have tested positive and 2 deaths.

Noble County is reporting another fatality from COVID-19. That means 21 people have now died from the virus. There were also 4 new cases in the county, making 189 people who have have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Steuben County has 1 new case, which brings the total number of people who have the virus to 80 and there are 2 deaths.

Elkhart County says they had another resident pass away from coronavirus, which means that 28 people in the county have now died. There were also 45 new cases reported, which makes 1,057 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19. DeKalb County is reporting 2 new cases. 31 people have now been diagnosed with the coronavirus. One person has died in the county.

Across Indiana, 373 new cases of coronavirus have been detected. That makes 32,078 people have tested positive. There were 18 people who have died, which brings the total number of Hoosiers who have passed away to 1,850.

The State Department of Health says from Monday to Tuesday 4,551 people have been given the COVID-19 test. To date, 230,749 Hoosiers have been tested with 13.9 percent of the tests coming back as positive.
