(UNDATED) – Three people were injured in a two vehicle collision Friday afternoon.

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office was called out to County Road 113 and County Road 26 at 4:22 PM. Investigators say 19 year old Brianna Rucker of Elkhart was driving south on County Road 113 and disregarded the stop sign at County Road 26. She crossed into the path of a vehicle, driven by 44 year old Courtney Kipker, and struck the left rear part of Kipker's automobile.

A passenger in Rucker's vehicle, 14 year old Kayle Rucker, was in the back seat and not wearing a seat belt, and was ejected out of the rear window, resulting in severe internal injuries.

Both Brianna Rucker and Kipker and Kayle Rucker were taken by ambulance to Elkhart General Hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Rucker was given a ticket for disregarding a stop sign.
