32 New COVID-19 Cases In Southern Michigan

(UNDATED) – Health officials say 32 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Southern Michigan as of Monday afternoon.

The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency says St. Joseph County has 21 new cases, making 350 people with the coronavirus. There have also been 5 deaths.

Branch County has 4 new cases. There are now 253 residents with COVID-19 and there have been 2 deaths. Hillsdale County has 2 new cases, making 194 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. There have been 25 people who have died.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says Cass County has 5 new cases, which means 175 individuals who have coronavirus. There have been 6 deaths as well.

The Michigan Department of Corrections says there were no new cases of coronavirus at the Lakeland Correctional Facility in Coldwater. That makes 39 staff members and 793 inmates who have tested positive. There have also been 23 inmate deaths.

Statewide, there were 384 new cases, which makes 69,722 people who have COVID-19. There were also 7 more deaths, making 6,075 people who have died.
