(BURR OAK) – Two Burr Oak women are being investigated for narcotics violations.

On Saturday at 6 PM, deputies with the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department spoke to two residents in the 100 block of North Second Street in Burr Oak about potential drug activity in the area.

While at the house, deputies identified a 35 year old woman and a 53 year old women who lived there and discovered they were in possession of controlled substances.

A report has been submitted to the St. Joseph County Prosecutors Office, requesting that the women be charged with narcotics violations.

Sheriff Mark Lillywhite would like to encourage citizens to report suspicious activity or if they suspect something illegal is happening, to contact either the Sheriff's Office of St. Joseph County Central Dispatch.
