(THREE RIVERS) – The St. Joseph County Commission On Aging has a new Life Enrichment Coordinator.
Executive Director Pamela Riley says the COA is pleased to announce that Alex Kelley has been hired as the new Life Enrichment Coordinator. A Sherwood resident, Kelley is a familiar face to COA members, as she has been the receptionist at the Oaks Enrichment Center in Sturgis since May 2018.
Kelley, who attended Burr Oak High School and Glen Oaks Community College, has a strong background in customer service, and has demonstrated a passion for improving the lives of older adults in St. Joseph County.
Riley says when she learned the position was open, she knew Kelley would be a natural fit. She says she has watched Alex interact with the members and her positivity and enthusiasm is exactly what the COA is looking for in a Life Enrichment Coordinator. Riley says Kelley has shown the desire to help plan and develop programs that will enrich their lives.
Kelley says she enjoys interacting with the COA members and is looking forward to her new job. She says it is very rewarding to see how much the members enjoy the activities the COA offers, and it feels great to be able to help them stay healthy and independent.
