(COLDWATER) – A trial date has been set for the four individuals arrested in connection with a kidnapping and murder plot.
Branch County Circuit Court personnel say 37 year old David Bailey of Coldwater, 32 year old Talia Furman of Springfield, 19 year old Jayme LaPoint of Athens and 32 year old Matthew Toole of Battle Creek will have their trials start on March 19. All three are charged with three counts each of conspiracy to commit first degree criminal sexual conduct, conspiracy to commit kidnapping and conspiracy to commit first degree murder.

In September, Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette announced the four suspects has been arrested by Michigan State Police for their roles in a plot to kidnap, torture and sexually assault a young child. The investigation started in August.
