(LANSING) – It's going to be a Merry Christmas for a Cass County woman.
According to the Michigan Lottery, she won $300,000 playing their 25th Anniversary Wild Time instant game.
The 53 year old woman, who chose to remain anonymous purchased her winning ticket at the Edwardsburg Marathon station, while her nephew purchased a couple of the Bingo game tickets. She says they scratched off the tickets when they got back to her house and she just threw it on the table.
Her nephew asked if she would share her winnings with him and when she looked closely, realized she won $300,000.
The woman says it's been overwhelming to her that she won that much money. She says she will set up college funds for her grandchildren and put the rest into savings.
