(UNDATED) – Family and friends will finally get a chance to say good-bye to Venus Stewart.
A graveside service will be held this Saturday at 1 PM at the Leonidas Cemetery for Stewart. The announcement of the service was released by the Schipper Funeral Home in Colon.
Venus was 32 years old when she was reported missing April 26, 2010 from her parents home in Colon Township. She had separated from her husband Doug Stewart after accusing Doug of molesting their daughter.
Doug Stewart was found guilty of first degree murder and conspiracy to commit first degree murder in March 2011. Up until recently Stewart said he was innocent in Venus' disappearance.
During a series of interviews with WWMT in October, Stewart said it was time to admit the truth and said he indeed killed his wife and hid her body. He said he felt remorse for his actions.
On October 22, Stewart led authorities to a shallow grave just south of Fulton, Michigan where the remains of Venus Stewart were found.
