Wood's Initial Hearing Canceled

(LAGRANGE) – An initial hearing scheduled this week for Wolcottville Town Clerk June Wood on two counts of theft has been called off.

Instead, Wood will have a pre-trial conference April 15th in LaGrange Superior Court. Wood hired Steven Clouse as her attorney.

The case against Wood follows an audit of the town’s books
allegedly showing Wood wrote a $2,000 check to herself for a home office and allegedly used a town debit card to pay Internet cable service at her home totaling $830.

Wood is a former LaGrange County Clerk.

Tom Wilson is special prosecutor in the case.
