(VOLINIA TOWNSHIP) – A Cassopolis man was injured in a one vehicle crash.

Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke says his deputies were sent to Marcellus Highway east of Goodenough Road in Volinia Township at 7:15 Saturday morning. The investigation showed a vehicle driven by 25 year old Roberto Reyna went off the road and struck a tree. Reyna told deputies he believes he fell asleep while driving.

Reyna was injured in the crash and taken to an area hospital by Pride Care Ambulance. Reyna was wearing his seatbelt.

Also assisting deputies were the Wayne Township Fire Department. The crash remains under investigation.
