(UNDATED) – Work will start on Monday to repave two sections of highways in Cass County.
The Michigan Department of Transportation will be repaving seven miles of M-40 from Marcellus Highway north to the Cass-Van Buren County Line. In addition, they will also be repaving seven miles of M-51 from Swartwood Drive to the south village limits of Decatur.
MDOT officials say the new pavement will extend the life of the roadway, improve safety and also provide a better ride quality.
Work should be finished by May 30.
