(MARCELLUS TOWNSHIP) – A Marcellus man was injured in a car vs bicycle accident.
The Cass County Sheriff's Department says at 3:59 PM Friday, they were called to Marcellus Township. 26 year old Cody Breseman of Dowagiac was driving south on M-40 near Brody Street when he struck 82 year old James Shannon of Marcellus, who was riding his bicycle.
Shannon was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo to be treated for his injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.
Assisting deputies at the scene were the Marcellus Fire Department, Marcellus Ambulance and Pride Care Ambulance.
