(UNDATED) – Michigan State Police are asking for the public's help with a pair of incidents from earlier this year in Branch County.
Troopers say the first case happened in February in Union Township on Trubey Trail. The residents of the home told troopers they say a man looking through a window before knocking on the door. The occupants opened the door and the suspect entered the home. When he learned someone was living there he said he thought it was empty and left in a
dark colored mini van.
The suspect is a white man, approximately 50 years old with a black and gray goatee. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black hat, black coat, blue jeans and dark colored gloves.
The second incident was a break in of a storage unit in Bronson Township. The unit is located on U.S. 12 near the west city limits of Bronson. Investigators say the exact date of the incident is unknown, but it's believed to have happened as early as March of this year.
Items taken include a tote of miscellaneous tools, and a Husqvarna chainsaw.
If anyone has information on either of these incidents, they are encouraged to call the Michigan State Police Post in Marshall at 269-558-0500.
