(INDIANAPOLIS) – The Indiana High School Athletic Association has announced the pairings for the 2021 Girls Basketball State Tournament, that gets underway with Sectional play on Tuesday, February 2. In Class 3A at Wawasee, Lakeland gets an opening round match up against Central Noble while NorthWood takes on host Wawasee. The Lakeland v Central Noble winner gets West Noble in the semi-finals, while either NorthWood or Wawasee faces Tippecanoe Valley in the second semi-final game. At the Class 3A Sectional at Garrett, host Garrett takes on Leo in opening round action and Angola faces F.W. Concordia. Woodlan will take on either Leo or Garrett in the semi-finals, while the Angola-Concordia winner gets F.W. Bishop Dwenger in a semi-final contest. In Class 2A action at Fairfield, Prairie Heights gets an opening round game against South Bend Career Academy while Westview takes on Bremen. The Prairie Heights-Career Academy winner faces LaVille in the semi-finals while Fairfield will get either Westview or Bremen. Class 2A at Eastside will see Churubusco take on Whitko in opening round action and Adams Central plays F.W. Canterbury. In opening round play, Eastside will get South Adams. In the semi-finals, Bluffton will either Churubusco or Whitko while the Adams Central-Canterbury winner will take on either Eastside or South Adams. At the Class A Sectional at Fremont, host Fremont faces Elkhart Christian while F.W. Blackhawk takes on Lakewood Park. The Fremont-Elkhart Christian winner will face Bethany Christian in a semi-final game, while Hamilton gets the winner of Lakewood Park and Blackhawk in the other semi-final. In Class 4A at DeKalb, East Noble will take on F.W. North Side while F.W. Northrop gets host DeKalb. In the semi-finals, Carroll will take on either East Noble or North Side while F.W. Snider gets the winner of the DeKalb-Northrop game.
