Prairie Heights wins 2019 NECC Wrestling Tournament

(ANGOLA) – Prairie Heights took first place at the NECC wrestling tournament on Friday with 154.5 points. Due to the threat of winter weather Saturday, the NECC wrestling tournament was moved to Friday to ensure it would be held. Garrett was second, followed by Central Noble, Eastside, West Noble. Lakeland, Angola, Churubusco, Fairfield, Fremont and Westview. Capturing championships for the Panthers were Nick Buchanan (138); Ryan Rasler (145); Isiah Levitz (152) and Jon Messer (195). Lakeland's Brandon Bergman captured the 182 pound championship. Champions for Central Noble were Alex Ocampo (106); Chris Schuller (132); Jadon Crips (160) and Levi Leffers (220). Taking third place was Erich Baade (106) and Alex McKee (182) of Angola; along with Ben Miller (113), Jadon Miller (138) and Brian Bergman (285) of Lakeland. Zeke Rowdon (132) and Seth Sutton (160) of Prairie Heights were also third, along with Kyle Bolinger (145), Austin McCullough (170) and Ben Golden (195) of Central Noble.
