History made for Mendon baseball in DH win over Eau Claire

(MENDON) – It was a history making night for the Mendon baseball team as they beat Eau Claire 17-0 and 16-0 in Southwest 10 action. Cole Decker was the winning pitcher in game one, striking out 5 in two innings of work. He earned his 28th career victory, and now has the most in school history, passing Scott Cook. In addition, Mendon coach Glen Sampson picked up his 450th career win. At the plate, JQ Hodges had 5 RBI. Noah Slaughter and Carter Wilczynski each had 2 base hits and 2 RBI. Slaughter was the winning pitcher in game two.
