Lakeland softball wins Sectional semifinal
(LAGRANGE) – Host Lakeland beat Wawasee 4-1 in a Class 3A softball Sectional semi-final game. Elise Edwards got the win on the mound, going seven innings, allowing 3 hits and one run while striking out 11. Bailey Hartsough went 3 for 4 at the plate to lead the Lady Lakers. Lakeland will face Fairfield in the Sectional finals, after the Lady Falcons beat West Noble 8-0 in their semi-final game.
