Centreville volleyball finishes second at Birch Run Invitational

(BIRCH RUN) – Centreville finished second at the Birch Run Volleyball Invitational, falling to Grosse Point South in the finals. To get to the finals, the Lady Bulldogs beat Saginaw Valley Lutheran, split with Brandon, then beating Flint Kearsley. In the quarterfinals, Centreville beat Brandon, then knocked off New Lothrop in the semi-finals. Samara Schlabach had 55 assists, 24 digs, 35 kills, 8 blocks and 6 aces. Teammate Joanna Larsen had 18 digs, 20 kills, 8 blocks and 4 aces while Hanna Duchene had 30 digs, 38 kills, 8 aces and 6 assists.
