No. 4 Colon beats Bellevue in Regional Title game
(COLON) – Host Colon jumped out to an early first quarter lead and the No. 4 ranked Magi went on to beat Bellevue 40-22 in an 8 man Division 1 Regional Championship game. Colon rushed for 270 yards on the day, led by Brandon Crawford who had 23 carries for 124 yards. Phillip Alva had 18 carries for 57 yards and 3 TD's. He was also 3 of 5 for 84 yards and a TD and caught a touchdown pass. Jonathan West had 3 receptions for 92 yards and a score. John Ruby led the defense with 10 tackles and Crawford had 8 tackles. Colon is now 10-1 and will travel to face No. 3 ranked and 11-0 Morrice Friday in a State Semifinal game.
