(CONSTANTINE) – The Village of Constantine has received funding to help with the construction of a new sewer plant.

During a recent meeting, the Constantine Village Council was informed that an application submitted to the State Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy was approved.

In addition, the Village Council was told that Constantine needed to have 38 tasks completed before they can get a 40 year USDA Rural Development Loan of almost $13.4 million. They have a majority of those tasks done and should be ready to close on the loan in the next few weeks..

It’s hoped that Constantine will be able to start the bidding process in October and November.
