Three Rivers softball tops Coldwater 1-0 to win D-2 District title
(HARPER CREEK) – The post season is continuing on for the Three Rivers softball team, after they won a Division 2 District Title. In the semifinal games, Three Rivers beat Harper Creek 14-0 in five innings while Coldwater knocked off Sturgis 10-0. Coldwater’s Alexis Bills had a homer and 4 RBI while Mackenzie Scheid went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI. Then in the finals, Three Rivers beat Coldwater 1-0. In the Championship game, Three Rivers scored the only run in the sixth inning with London Hoffmaster’s sacrifice scoring Allie McGlothlen. Jannaya Decker was the winning pitcher, allowing 5 hits and striking out 7 batters. Coldwater ends the season at 32-8 while Three Rivers is 25-15, and will take on Lake Odessa Lakewood in a Regional semifinal game.
