(LAGRANGE TOWNSHIP) – A Three Rivers man was involved in a two vehicle crash in Cass County’s LaGrange Township.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department, 46 year old Jesse James of Three Rivers was traveling east on Pokagon Highway, approaching the intersection of Dailey Road at 2:15 PM Friday.
29 year old Marcus Nelson of Mishawaka was heading north on Dailey Road and did not yield the right of way to James, striking his vehicle and forcing it from the road.
Deputies say Nelson and James were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash. Nelson was taken to Borgess Lee Hospital to be treated for non life threatening injuries.
Assisting at the scene were the Pokagon Tribal Police, the Cassopolis Fire Department and the SMCAS Ambulance Service. The crash remains under investigation.
