The Colon American Legion will hold their next fish fry on Friday, May 26th from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. at the Legion Hall in downtown Colon. Ocean Perch will be served. Cost is $9.50 for adults and $4.00 for kids age 5 to 10. Carry-outs will start at a new time of 5 P.M.

The Burr Oak United Methodist Church will hold a Memorial Day dinner this Monday, May 29th at the church, at the corner of Fourth and Main Streets in Burr Oak. The meal will be served from 11 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. and the cost is $7.50 per person. Kids age 5 and under and all veterans with Military I.D. eat free. The delicious menu includes; turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, gingered carrots, green bean casserole, rolls, relish trays, beverages, pies and other desserts. The dinner follows the Memorial Day service at the Burr Oak cemetery.
