(SHIPSHEWANA) - The Farm Place house is nearing completion and the organizers hope to begin construction of the barn.
The Farm Place was founded as a place for children separated from their parents due to the parents’ legal entanglements. It will bring together children and farm animals in a safe place.
A benefit haystack supper and auction will be held today starting at 4 PM at the Shipshewana Auction Antique Building.
Auction items include an 8 by 12 storage shed, a 34 by 48 foot garage, a queen buggy, quilts, furniture and gift certificates.
here will also be raffles for a processed beef quarter and for guns.
The dinner starts at 4 PM followed by the auction at 5 PM.
