(UNDATED) – The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department is investigating two more thefts.
Sheriff Brad Balk says on August 20, deputies responded to a report of a stolen Moped in the 69,000 block of South Nottawa Road. The moped is described as a Flat Back, 2017 Huwain Moped, with a Michigan registration sticker Y625H. The vehicle has damage to the right hand brake lever, as well as scrapes on the front side of the moped, displaying a white color.
The moped was stolen sometime on the night of August 19.
Then on Thursday, deputies were called to the Prairie Lake Access in the 64,000 block of Prairie Lake Road for a complaint of malicious destruction of property.
The suspect broke a window out of a pick up and stole change from the vehicle. The suspect is believed to have sustained injuries while breaking the window as blood was located inside the vehicle.
The incident occurred between 5:45 PM and 6:15 PM.
Both of these incidents are still under investigation. If anyone has information on either of these crimes, they are asked to call the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department at 269-467-9045.
