(POKAGON TOWNSHIP) – A Dowagiac man was injured in a single vehicle crash.
The Cass County Sheriff's Department says 42 year old Carlton Hill was driving on Wilbur Hill Road near Mathews Street in Pokagon Township just after 2:30 Friday afternoon when he suffered a medical emergency, leading him to crash his vehicle into a nearby apple orchard.
Hill was taken to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment. Police say he was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the incident, which is still under investigation.
Assisting at the scene were the Dowagiac Police, the Pokagon Tribal Police and Pride Care Ambulance.
