(LAGRANGE) - Police say a 50 year old LaGrange man on a bicycle was struck by two vehicles Tuesday morning, but only one of which remained on the scene.
It happened at 5:25 AM near 1425 South County Road 00 East-West.
50 year old Richard Dean Bontrager of 200 South in LaGrange was riding his bicycle northbound when he was struck from behind by a vehicle that fled the scene.
Bontrager was lying in the northbound lane when a pickup truck driven by 66 year old Ralph Geesaman of LaGrange struck him.
Geesaman told police he didn’t see Bontrager lying there.
Bontrager was taken by ambulance to Parkview LaGrange Hospital and then flown Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne with head, arm, and other unknown injuries.
