(LAGRANGE) - A rural LaGrange man faces felony charges following a drug investigation by LaGrange Police.
Officers went to a residence just south of LaGrange on State Road 9 Friday around 10 PM. They smelled the odor of raw marijuana coming from inside the residence and got a search warrant.
The search turned up nearly 8 pounds of marijuana and 50 cultivated plants.
40 year old Steven Brewer was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing and possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of paraphernalia.
Police plan to seek charges through the Prosecutor’s Office for another person at the residence.
Officers with the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office and Wolcottville Police assisted in the investigation.
