(ANN ARBOR) - Kayla Robbins had a career-high 17 points and eight rebounds on Friday night, and the No. 25 Michigan women opened the season with a 76-55 win over Western Michigan. Amy Dilk added 12 points, 11 rebounds and five assists for the Wolverines, who started the game with a 10-0 run and led the entire way. The Broncos closed the deficit to 29-21 after trailing by 14, but Michigan went on a 23-2 run to lead 52-23 in the middle of the third quarter. The Wolverines led by at least 16 the rest of the way. Naz Hillmon scored 10 points for Michigan. The Wolverines held Western Michigan to 31 percent (19 of 61) from the field and 10 percent (2 of 21) from the 3-point arc. Jordan Walker led Western Michigan with 14 points and Sydney Shafer scored 12.
