
(UNDATED) – Several organizations will be doing their part to make this a Happy Thanksgiving for area individuals.
Today, the Burr Oak Community Schools will be serving their Thanksgiving dinner. It will be from 11 AM until 12:30 PM in the small gym. A requested donation of $3 per person is suggested.
This evening, the Three Rivers Community Kitchen will have their Thanksgiving Eve Dinner from 4 until 6 PM. This will be at Trinity Church of Three Rivers, 321 North Main Street. All are welcome for this no cost dinner. A free will offering will be accepted to help with the cost of the dinner.
Also this evening, the Burr Oak Missionary Church is serving a full Thanksgiving Dinner. This starts at 6 PM, and is open to the public.
On Thanksgiving Day before you sit down for a meal, you can participate in the Beast Before The Feast 5K Walk and Run. This will be at Sweetland Stadium in Constantine from 9:30 until 10:30 AM. Participants are asked to bring a non perishable food item for the Constantine Food Bank.
The Sturgis Ministerial Association will be hosting a free Thanksgiving meal from 12 until 2 PM at Grace Sturgis, 300 Timothy Drive.
The Centreville United Methodist Church will also be hosting a full Thanksgiving dinner from 12 until 2 PM.
A free old fashioned Thanksgiving meal is being held at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church from 1 until 3 PM. The church is located at 484 South Burr Oak Road in Colon.
