(STURGIS) – Family and friends are holding a candlelight vigil for a missing woman.
November 30 makes one year since anyone saw 23 year Brittany Nicole Shank. St. Joseph County Sheriff Brad Balk says Shank was seen in the 33,000 block of Fawn River Road around 9:41 PM. She had left her grandmother's house after doing laundry and her car went off the road.
She knocked on two doors asking for help because she didn't have good cell phone reception. After stopping at the second house, Shank disappeared.
Brittany is 5 feet 1 inch tall, 110 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was seen earlier in the day with a white man between 5 feet 6 and 5 feet 8 inches, who had short blonde hair with mutton chop type sideburns. He appeared to be in his early to mid 20's.
Tonight's vigil will be held at Free Church Park in Sturgis, starting at 6:30 PM.
If anyone has seen Brittany or knows where she is, they are asked to call the Sheriff's Department at 269-467-9045 or St. Joseph County Central Dispatch at 269-467-4195.
