(LANSING) – The 2019 Colon football team received another honor on Wednesday.
The team along with their coaches were at the State Capitol in Lansing, as State Senator Kim LaSata of the 21st District welcomed the team and recognized them for winning the 2019 Division 1 8 Man State Championship. The Magi beat Suttons Bay 26-14 on November 23 at the Superior Dome in Marquette.
LaSata says she is proud to be able to recognize the Magi team, their coaching staff, parents and the entire Colon community for this wonderful accomplishment.
LaSata welcomed the team on to the Senate floor during their day's session for the special tribute.
