(COLDWATER) – Two people have been arrested following an investigation into an alleged beating incident in Coldwater.
Director of Public Safety Joe Schied says his officers were called to the ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital Emergency Room January 4 to investigate an assault and battery. The victim, a 29 year old man, told officers he had been beaten with a pipe after being lured to a home in the 100 block of North Jefferson Street.
Following their investigation, Schied says officers arrested 29 year old Alia Mallory of Coldwater. She was arraigned over the weekend with bond set at $20,000. Mallory will have a preliminary examination on February 4th.
Police also arrested a 32 year old Coldwater man. He was taken to the Branch County Jail with bond set at $10,000. He will be arraigned on February 10.
