(THREE RIVERS) – Domestic And Sexual Abuse Services is beginning the search for a new Executive Director.
The DASAS Board of Directors is announcing that Rose Ludwick is stepping down as their Executive Director, effective February 25. Deborah Hackworth, the Director of Advocacy Services, will take over as Interim Executive Director.
Ludwick started with DASAS in 2008 as an office administrator, growing in her role over the next 12 years. She became the Executive Director in 2018.
Under Ludwick's leadership, DASAS accomplished several goals, including securing additional funding to employ a full time Sexual Assault Therapist; offering more opportunities to heal from trauma through additional services at Hillmann House Safe Shelter; expanding support groups and implementing classes that are culturally specific; and launching the podcast “I'm Not In An Abusive Relationship”.
DASAS Board President Bill Furr says that DASAS cannot thank Rose enough for her dedication, vision, passion and leadership. Furr says Ludwick leaves behind a legacy of growth, of helping our community and of shedding a light on abuse. While they will miss her, Furr says they are excited to see the success she will have in the next part of her career.
Ludwick says it has been a pleasure working with the Board and the DASAS team over the past 12 years. She says DASAS is poised for continued growth and she wishes the organization much success in all future endeavors.
In accordance with the DASAS bylaws, a Search Committee will select a new Executive Director, subject to ratification by the Board of Directors.
