(INDIANAPOLIS) – Northeast Indiana says there were 196 new cases of coronavirus reported over the weekend.
The Indiana State Department of Health says LaGrange County has 10 new cases of COVID-19, which makes 81 total cases in the county. There have been 2 deaths.
In Noble County there were 21 new cases of coronavirus. That brings the number of people that tested positive to 232. There have been 21 deaths from the virus in the county. Steuben County has 2 new cases of the virus, which makes 83 people who have COVID-19. There have been 2 people who have died from the virus.
DeKalb County has 4 new cases, which brings their total number of people infected to 37. There has been 1 death in the county from coronavirus. In Elkhart County, 159 new COVID-19 cases have been detected. To date, 1,322 people have tested positive for the virus. There have been 28 people who have died.
Statewide, 1,016 new COVID-19 cases have been detected. That means 33,574 people have the coronavirus. There were also 21 more deaths from the virus over the weekend. To date, 1,967 people have died in Indiana from COVID-19.
The State Department of Health says from Friday to Sunday, 261,546 people have been tested for COVID-19, with 13.2 percent of the tests coming back as positive.
