ANGOLA, IN - One of Steuben County's most watched races was the spot for Middle District Commissioner, and the job has ended for incumbent James A. Crowl.
Steuebn County Councilman Ken Shelton won over Crowl, keeping incumbent Crowl from serving a fifth term. Crowl was originally elected to the middle district position back in 2014, previously serving on the Steuben County Council.
At this point, Shelton does not have an opponent from the Democrat side for the election this fall; however, the Steuben County Democrat party could still have someone file to run this summer.
Crowl will end his service officially on December 31st of this year (2020).
