
(INDIANAPOLIS) – Northeast Indiana has reported 73 new coronavirus cases as of Tuesday afternoon.
The Indiana State Department of Health says 9 new cases were in LaGrange County. That makes 93 people who have COVID-19 and 2 people who have died.
Noble County has 1 new case, which brings their total number of people who have tested positive for coronavirus to 238, and there have been 21 deaths. Steuben County also has 1 new case of COVID-19, making 85 people with the virus. There have been 2 COVID-19 deaths.
DeKalb County has no new cases and remains at 37 people who have the coronavirus. There has been 1 death in the county. Elkhart County is reporting 62 new cases of COVID-19, which makes 1,384 people who have tested positive. There have been 28 residents who have died from the virus.
Across Indiana, 430 new coronavirus cases have been detected. To date, 35,237 Hoosier residents have the virus. There were also 46 more deaths, which means 2,022 people who have died.
The State Department of Health says from Monday to Tuesday, 6,052 people were tested for COVID-19. That means 271,919 people have been tested for the virus and 13 percent of the tests have come back as positive.
