(STURGIS) – Sturgis Bancorp, Inc. has announced that David Franks has been elected the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Sturgis Bank.
Franks is the President and Chief Operation Officer of Oak Press Solutions Inc., a manufacturing company headquartered in Sturgis, serving an international customer base. He is also a board member of Burr Oak Tool, Inc. and associated international companies.
Franks has been a Director of the Company and Bank from 2009 to 2015 and since June 2016.
Sturgis Bank President and CEO Eric Eishen says David is a hard working and dedicated member of our community. Under Franks' leadership, Oak Press has continued to flourish and is a solid employer in the Sturgis Community. Eishen says Franks has been a thoughtful member of the Bank's Board for many years. He says Franks understands the balance between stockholder expectations, customer needs, corporate responsibility and providing excellent opportunities for bank employees to have a stable work environment along with the ability to experience personal career development.
Franks has also served on the Sturgis Board of Education, including two years as Board President. He has been a board member of the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce and President of the Sturgis Kiwanis Club.
