(STURGIS) – The City of Sturgis Recreation Department is postponing their Summer Adventure Club and Youth Tennis programs until July 13th.

Assistant City Manager Andrew Kuk says this action is being taken in response to direction by the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency, for staff members of these programs to self-quarantine. Summer Adventure Club had an attendee that had close contact to a person with a positive test result for COVID-19. Youth tennis had an attendee that tested positive for COVID-19.

Kuk says the City is working closely with CHA to provide necessary data and comply with any requirements. Any families impacted are asked to monitor themselves and are encouraged to get tested if they are experiencing any symptoms.
