 
            
(UNDATED) – Health officials say there were 26 new cases of COVID-19 and one death in Southern Michigan as of Monday afternoon.                       
The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency says 22 new cases were detected in St. Joseph County, which means 291 people have COVID-19.  There have also been 4 deaths.
No new cases were reported in Branch County.  243 people have the coronavirus and there have been 2 deaths.  Hillsdale County has 1 new case, which makes 183 individuals who have tested positive.  25 people have died in Hillsdale County from the virus.
The Michigan Department of Corrections says there was a death in Cass County, which means 5 people have now died from COVID-19.  There were also 3 new cases, making 124 people who have tested positive for COVID-19.                
The Michigan Department of Corrections says there were no new cases of coronavirus at the Lakeland Correctional Facility in Coldwater.  That makes 39 staff members and 793 inmates who have tested positive.  There have also been 23 inmate deaths.      
Statewide, there were 236 new cases of COVID-19, which means 63,497 Michiganders have the virus.  There were also 4 new deaths, which makes 5,915 people who have died from COVID-19.
