(INDIANAPOLIS) – There were 36 new cases of coronavirus in Northeast Indiana as of Monday afternoon.
According to the Indiana State Department of Health, 3 new cases were reported in LaGrange County. That makes 449 people who have the virus and 6 people who have died.
Noble County has 4 new cases, bringing the number of people with COVID-19 to 431. There have also been 28 individuals who have died. Steuben County is reporting 1 new case. That means 121 people who have tested positive for the virus and 2 people who have died.
DeKalb County has 1 new case of coronavirus. 156 people have tested positive for the virus and there have been 4 deaths. Elkhart County has 27 new cases of COVID-19, which makes 3,003 people who have the virus and there have been 42 people who have died.
Statewide in Indiana, 312 more cases of COVID-19 were detected. There are now 45,228 individuals who have the virus. There were also 5 more deaths, which means 2,432 Hoosiers who have died from COVID-19.
The State Department of Health says 476,519 people have been tested for coronavirus with 9.5 percent of the tests coming back as positive.
