(INDIANAPOLIS) – Health officials say 40 new cases of coronavirus were reported Friday afternoon in Northeast Indiana.
The Indiana State Department of Health says there was another death in LaGrange County, which makes 7 people who have died in the county. There was 1 new case, making 465 people who have the virus.
Noble County has 6 new cases. There are now 457 people with COVID-19, and 28 deaths. Steuben County has 2 new cases. 126 people have tested positive and 2 people have died.
DeKalb County has no new cases of COVID-19. There are 159 people who have the virus and there have been 4 deaths. Elkhart County is reporting 31 new cases, which makes 3,164 people who have coronavirus. 43 people have died.
Statewide in Indiana, 541 more cases of coronavirus were detected. There are now 46,915 individuals who have the virus. There were also 19 more deaths, which means 2,488 Hoosiers who have died from coronavirus.
The State Department of Health says 504,153 people have been tested for coronavirus with 9.3 percent of the tests coming back as positive.
