
(INDIANAPOLIS) – There were 153 new coronavirus cases and 4 more deaths reported in Northeast Indiana over the Fourth of July weekend.
The Indiana State Department of Health says one of the deaths was in LaGrange County, which makes 8 people who have died in the county. There were 5 new cases, making 470 people who have the virus.
Noble County has 21 new cases. There are now 478 people with COVID-19, and 28 deaths. Steuben County has 3 new cases. 129 people have tested positive and 2 people have died.
DeKalb County has 3 new cases of COVID-19. There are 162 people who have the virus and there have been 4 deaths. Elkhart County is reporting 3 new deaths, which makes 46 people who have died from the virus. There were also 121 new cases of coronavirus. 3,285 people have tested positive.
Statewide in Indiana, 1,093 new cases of coronavirus were detected. There are now 48,008 individuals who have the virus. There were also 12 more deaths, which means 2,500 Hoosiers who have died from coronavirus.
The State Department of Health says 521,722 people have been tested for coronavirus with 9.2 percent of the tests coming back as positive.
