(CENTREVILLE) – The St. Joseph County Intermediate School District Board of Education will try to fill a vacancy this afternoon.
The ISD Board will hold a special meeting to interview five candidates in the hopes of appointing one of them to finish out a term. The candidates are Cameron Bullock; Terry Conklin; Terry Cropper; Nancy Miller and Erin Nowak. The interviews are scheduled to be approximately ten minutes each.
Following the interviews, the Board of Education will discuss the candidates and take action to appoint one of them.
The Board is looking to fill the seat previously held by Sarah Vollmer, who announced she was resigning her position effective June 8. She and her family are moving out of the County because of her husband's job being re-located.
Vollmer was appointed to the ISD Board of Education on October 21, 2019 to finish out the term of Mike Bosma, who had passed away earlier in the month. Vollmer was one of four candidates that interviewed for the seat at that time.
Whoever is appointed following today's interviews will be asked to finish out the original term of Bosma, which runs until June 30, 2021.
